The practice has a keen interest in medical education. We may have up to four GP registrars, at different stages of their training, working within the practice. We are also approved to take GP returners.
The practice is actively involved in the training of medical students from Keele Medical School. We currently supervise at all stages of their training.
As a practice we hold regular doctor, doctor/practice nurse and primary healthcare team meetings to audit our standards of medical care, review the latest research and invite external speakers.
The practice is a member of The North Staffordshire Primary Care Research Consortium, based at Keele. Significant work on the management of tennis elbow, shoulder pain and back pain has been published in the British Medical Journal which the practice has taken part in. Patients may be invited to take part in interviews, clinics or questionnaires about their health condition. This involvement is always voluntary and does not affect your rights to healthcare in any way.
