Established in 1990 as a registered charity, number 292157. It provides support for patient care, with feedback on services and fund raising programmes to purchase equipment. Recent purchases have included a spirometer that links results into patient records, hip protectors and ongoing funding support of the blood testing service. It has also made a significant contribution to the cost of the Practice website. Members meet at the Surgery on a Monday evening bi-monthly. New members are welcome. Established in 1996. A registered charity . It provides a local transport service to patients with the support of volunteer drivers. There is also a drop in café from 11.00 am to 1.00pm every Wednesday at the Methodist Church Hall. The scheme is supervised by a committee of local residents and Mr Alan Wilson manages the scheme. Established in 2006. The Community First Response scheme was a nationwide initiative that provides fast emergency response to rural areas. It works alongside the local Ambulance service. The responders provide emergency support until the arrival of the Ambulance service within a six mile radius of Madeley.
